Terms of Service
The short version: we are a referral service, the plumber is an independent business, and the work is between you and them. The long version, which is what actually governs, follows.
Last updated: 27 August 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Orange CA Plumbing Line ("we", "us") covering your use of orangecaplumbingline.com and of our telephone referral service. By using the site or calling us, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
1. What this service is
We are a referral service. We take a description of your plumbing problem and connect you with an independent licensed plumbing professional working in your area. We are not a plumbing contractor, we do not employ the professionals we refer you to, and we do not perform, supervise, inspect or direct any plumbing work.
The consequence, stated plainly: any agreement for plumbing work is formed directly between you and the independent contractor. They set the price, they choose the method, they perform the work, and they are solely responsible for it, including its quality, timeliness, safety, permitting and compliance with code.
2. Pricing and quotes
All prices, estimates and quotes come from the contractor, not from us. Any figure, range or "typical cost" mentioned on this site is general background information about the kind of work involved, not an offer, a quote or a guarantee of price. Nothing on this site binds a contractor to a number.
3. Licensing and insurance
We ask the professionals in our network to hold an active California contractor licence and current liability insurance, and to keep both in good standing. We cannot continuously verify the status of every licence and policy at every moment. You are entitled to ask any contractor for their licence number and proof of insurance before work begins, and you should. Licence status can be checked independently with the California Contractors State License Board.
4. No warranty on referred work
We make no warranty, express or implied, regarding any work performed by a contractor we refer you to, and we give no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or workmanlike performance in respect of that work. Any warranty or workmanship term is granted by the contractor directly to you. Claims about work go to the contractor who performed it.
5. Emergency service
We answer the phone 24 hours a day and we move quickly, but response times depend on contractor availability, traffic, weather and the volume of calls. We do not guarantee any specific arrival time or that a contractor will be available for a given job. In a genuine emergency, shut off the water at the main and, where gas or electricity is involved, call your utility and the fire service before calling us.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information about the property, the problem and your authority to arrange work on it.
- Provide safe access to the property and to the relevant plumbing.
- Disclose known hazards, including asbestos, lead, unstable structure and prior unpermitted work.
- Deal with the contractor directly on scope, price, scheduling and payment.
- Use the site and our phone line for genuine service enquiries only.
7. Calls and consent to contact
When you call us or give us your number, you consent to us and the contractor we refer you to contacting you about that enquiry by phone or text at the number you provided, including by automated means where applicable. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent to service-related contact is not a condition of any purchase, and you can withdraw it by telling us. Calls may be monitored or recorded as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Website content
The material on this site, including descriptions of how particular repairs work and how local housing stock tends to fail, is general information about plumbing in the City of Orange. It is not a diagnosis of your property and not professional advice about your specific situation. Do not rely on it in place of an inspection by a licensed professional. We may change or remove content at any time.
9. Intellectual property
The site, its text, layout, graphics and the Orange CA Plumbing Line name and logo are owned by us or used with permission, and are protected by law. You may view and print pages for your own use in arranging plumbing work. You may not copy, republish, scrape or use our content commercially without written permission.
10. Third-party links
Where we link to another site, such as a licensing authority or a utility, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices.
11. Disclaimer
The site and the referral service are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or property damage, arising out of or connected with your use of the site or the referral service, or with any act or omission of a contractor. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to one hundred United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the site or the service, your breach of these terms, or any dispute between you and a contractor.
14. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Before filing anything, please call us; most complaints about a referral are resolved on the phone.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
16. Contact
Questions about these terms: call (714) 804-0063, or write to Orange CA Plumbing Line, Orange, CA 92866.
These terms cover our referral service only. Your written agreement with the contractor governs the work itself; read it before signing.
